  1. FaceOSC is a tool for prototyping face-based interaction. It's built on non-commercial open source FaceTracker code from Jason Saragih. FaceOSC comes as an example app with the ofxFaceTracker addon for openFrameworks. You can download an OSX binary at github.com/downloads/kylemcdonald/ofxFaceTracker/FaceOSC.zip

  2. Gamuza is a d3cod3 open source software project, based on/developed with openframeworks creative coding c++ framework, by Emanuele Mazza. It can be used under CC-GNU GPL license and is basically a bridge over c++ programming designed for developing purpose-independent interactive installation mainly based on video tracking techniques. Many parts of the code comes from different people, sometimes modified depending on needs, and always commented into the code.

  3. MotionTrackOSC is a small program that does motiontracking on either a camera image or a video file. The tracked motion is output to a client via osc. The program is based on the libraries OpenCV – http://opencv.willowgarage.com liblo – http://liblo.sourceforge.net

  4. TLD is an award-winning, real-time algorithm for tracking of unknown objects in video streams. The object of interest is defined by a bounding box in a single frame. TLD simultaneously Tracks the object, Learns its appearance and Detects it whenever it appears in the video. The result is a real-time tracking that typically improves over time. Due to its learning abilities, TLD has been advertised under name Predator. The video to the left introduces Predator and proposes several potential applications.

  6. Haar Cascades Uploaded Image: IDEA.GIF Please contact Ale to change this page contents. Ale Here we have a repository of proven haar cascades for object detection. This page contains trained classifiers for detecting objects of a particular type, e.g. faces (frontal, profile), pedestrians etc. Some of the classifiers have a special license - please, look into the files for details.

  7. Ferns: Planar Object Detection Demo Planar object detection software that uses Fern based classification to match feature points. Includes template based tracking to switch between detection/tracking. (Tracking is NOT enabled by default, see usage notes on how to turn it on.) Downloads: Source code is available under the GNU General Public License. In short, if you distribute a software that uses ferns-demo, you have to distribute it under GPL with the source code. Another option is to contact us to purchase a commercial license.

  10. Computer Vision for Artists and Designers: Pedagogic Tools and Techniques for Novice Programmers This article also appears in the following publications ABSTRACT "Computer vision" refers to a broad class of algorithms that allow computers to make intelligent assertions about digital images and video. Historically, the creation of computer vision systems has been regarded as the exclusive domain of expert researchers and engineers in the fields of signal processing and artificial intelligence. Likewise, the scope of application development for computer vision technologies, perhaps constrained by conventional structures for research funding, has generally been limited to military and law-enforcement purposes.
